| van ohillip December 23, 2004 11:10 PM PST the irony of christmas... ask anyone their idea of christmas and they will immediately describe to you a feast on evry table, trees glistening with lights, abd children smiling while opening their gifts... this season has gone a very long way from its true beggining.. we have forgotten that the first christmas was the sipmlestof things.. what could be more simplier than having your child in a manger.. that would certainly be repulsive by now... christmas really has become an ironic cerlbrtaion.. it began with a simple birth and now is celebrated with the most oppulent feasts.. its the birth of a God of the immaterial and now is a celebration that could not be more commercialized... man has ways of srewing the greatest of things and christams has not been spared by this... | ||
